Durable transit shelter and kiosk structures designed to improve daily commuter access, comfort, and long-term performance at one of New Jersey’s busiest transportation hubs.

Metropark Station is a major intermodal transportation hub serving both daily commuters and long-distance travelers along the Northeast Corridor. Operated by NJ Transit and serviced by multiple Amtrak lines, the station provides direct access to major cities including New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., making it a vital link in the region’s transportation network.

To support the station’s high traffic and year-round use, we partnered with the project’s architectural team and general contractor to design and deliver durable bus shelters and ticketing kiosk structures. These shelters were engineered to withstand constant use and exposure to a wide range of weather conditions, from harsh winters to hot summers.

Each structure features laminated tempered glass walls and ceilings for enhanced strength, safety, and shatter resistance. Integrated recessed lighting and heating elements were also incorporated to improve visibility and provide comfort for commuters during colder months.

The result is a set of modern, resilient structures that enhance both functionality and the overall commuter experience at this high-demand transit hub.
