A series of custom shade structures designed to support one of Cape Coral’s most significant waterfront park revitalizations.

Jaycee Park, an 11.8-acre waterfront destination along the Caloosahatchee River, recently underwent major renovations to enhance its community appeal. With new features including a lit riverfront boardwalk, a 5,000-square-foot splash pad, and multiple playgrounds including an inclusive space for children of all abilities, the park quickly became a vibrant gathering place. However, the newly expanded open areas required effective shade solutions to combat the intense South Florida sun.

Legend Structures designed and delivered a series of custom shade structures, including an amphitheater pavilion, a restaurant bistro canopy, and multiple picnic pavilions throughout this park. Each structure was engineered to meet High Velocity Hurricane Zone requirements while complementing the park’s Key West–Conch architectural style, featuring vaulted ceilings, louvered ends, and bright pastel columns with white trim.

The result is a cohesive, durable, and visually striking set of structures that enhance both comfort and character across this vibrant parks and recreation destination.
